Need a speaker, facilitator or workshop leader who is knowledgeable in creative writing practice, performance, devised theatre or communication at your university, business, secondary school or theatre group?
Over the years I have taught on multiple undergraduate and postgraduate courses at various institutions and conservatoires, such as RCSSD and Rose Bruford. I’m an Associate Fellow of the HEA.
As a staff tutor at City Lit College, University of London, I teach across multiple courses within the Creative Writing department.
I am also a visiting lecturer and module facilitator at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and Royal Holloway University.
I love to work with university students on creative undergraduate and postgraduate courses, melding my love for theory and practice. These sessions are often on playwriting, with a particular focus on how to ‘marry’ devised and written work — especially on how the meditative writing practice can learn from the instinctive devised process.
Facilitation & Young People
I am Head of Acting at Amplified Arts Academy.
I also teach devised theatre with young adults at Bodens Performing Arts College.
My facilitation work has been aimed at all ages, from early years to elderly groups and has covered topics such as storytelling, performance, Black history, writing from personal experience, devising, and more. I was personally requested by the workshop attendees to return to Cambridge House to lead a workshop in performance and communication
I have worked as a Drama Practitioner for several youth theatre companies and programmes (including Company 3, Haringey Shed Theatre, Smile Theatre Company and NCS The Challenge).
I run spoken word workshops, some notable companies including WAC Arts and The Transformation Trust.
