About

I am a performer-writer currently based in Essex. My practice is characterised by approaching topics important to me (race, womanhood, faith, sexuality), through the use of humour, post-dramatic text and playing with the relationship between performer and audience.

Whilst studying Drama and Creative Writing BA (Royal Holloway), I had the opportunity to write both plays and prose. I was also hired by the BA Media department as an actress for various radio productions and performance workshops.

Shortly after I attended The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, where I recently graduated with an MA in Advanced Theatre Practice. I developed my skills as a deviser, actress and theatre-maker, culminating the year in a devised performance of I Drink To Thee, which was showcased at St Peter’s Church (North London) and the University of Malta.

I have a multi-disciplinary background but I’m most enthused by projects which involve an element of the following:

  • devised performance
  • solo and/or autobiographical performance
  • young adult literature
  • children’s and youth theatre
  • new writing
  • spoken word & performance poetry
  • applied theatre

Thank you for looking through my website.
